Stefan Pischinger

Stefan Pischinger (born May 21, 1961 in Graz , Austria ) is an Austrian mechanical engineering company.

Life

Stefan Pischinger is a son of Franz Pischinger , the founder of FEV GmbH in Aachen, a service company that deals with the development of combustion engines on behalf of the automotive and engine industry. He is a mechanical engineer and professor at RWTH Aachen University .

From 1979 to 1985 Pischinger studied mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University. From 1985 to 1989 he was a research assistant at the Sloan Automotive Laboratory of MIT and received his doctorate there also ( Ph.D. ). Then to 1997 he worked in various positions at Daimler-Benz , most recently as head of experimental diesel engines in the Advanced Engineering .

Since 1997 he has been director of the Institute for Thermodynamics at RWTH Aachen University and head of the Chair of Internal Combustion Engines at RWTH Aachen University (VKA) as well as a member of the management board of FEV.

Since 2003 he has been chairman of the management board of FEV.

Pischinger has been a full member of the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences and Arts since 2010 .
