Career

The strong midfielder began playing football at FV Utzmemmingen . Later he was in the youth of TSV Nördlingen and then played in the youth department of FC Augsburg . In 2003, at the age of 14, he joined the youth department of FC Bayern Munich . He signed the two-year contract offered for the reserve team due to good performance in the youth teams in 2007 and then made his debut on August 3, 2007 (2nd matchday) in the 3-2 defeat at the Lions , when he played for Tom in the 85th minute Schütz was substituted on. His other four games were also short-lived - due to short-term substitutions.

Riess made his debut in the newly created 3rd division on August 23, 2008 (4th matchday) in a 1-0 away win against Eintracht Braunschweig with a substitute for Marco Stier in the 77th minute. He scored his first goal on May 9, 2009 (35th matchday) in a 4-0 home win over Kickers Emden . On May 8, 2010 (38th matchday) - before the 1: 4 defeat in the away game against Kickers Offenbach - he was passed by Bayern Munich.

In summer 2010 the talent signed a one-year contract with Karlsruher SC for which he not only made his debut on November 28, 2010 in a 4-0 home win against Rot-Weiß Oberhausen , but also played his only second division game. Since his contract was not extended beyond the agreed year, he then moved to the Austrian second division club FC Lustenau 07, where he became a regular player and knew how to convince. In his debut on July 12, 2011 (1st matchday) in a 1-1 draw in the home game against LASK Linz , he not only scored the final score with a direct free kick in the 70th minute, but also scored his first goal. He played his last league game on March 9, 2012 (23rd matchday) in a 3-0 defeat at home against SV Grödig . After a cruciate ligament rupture in May 2012, he was out for a year. He remained without a club until January 2014, then he joined the Bavarian state league club TSV 1861 Nördlingen , with whom he remained under contract until the end of 2016.
