Stefan Rogentin (born May 16, 1994 ) is a Swiss ski racer . He belongs to the B-team of Swiss-Ski and is particularly successful in the downhill , super-G , giant slalom and combination disciplines .

biography

Rogentin comes from Lenzerheide in the canton of Graubünden . He learned to ski at the age of two and a half. As a 15-year-old he started to participate in FIS races in December 2009 . His first victory at this level came in January 2012 on a descent in Caspoggio , otherwise successes were rare in the first few years. Due to an injury, he had to take a break for the entire 2014/15 season. Rogentin made his first appearance in the European Cup in January 2015. During the winter of 2015/16 he was able to establish himself in the European Cup with several top 10 placings and on February 5, 2016 he drove in the Sarntal Valley for the first time with third place in the Super-G on the podium.

Rogentin made his World Cup debut on December 4, 2016 in the giant slalom in Val-d'Isère , where he finished in 48th place. He achieved five podium places in the 2016/17 European Cup. He won the combined ranking and finished second in the overall ranking. On March 16, 2018, he achieved his first European Cup victory in Soldeu's Super-G . In the 2018/19 season he was also runner-up in the overall European Cup ranking, as well as in the Super-G ranking.
