Stefan Wieduwilt (* 1965 in Preetz , Plön) is a German film producer.

Career

Stefan Wieduwilt grew up in Hildesheim and in 1986 went to Berlin to train as a publishing clerk at Ullstein Verlag . He then studied philosophy and economics at the Free University of Berlin . During his studies he worked as a journalist for print, radio and television. During this time he and Markus Stolz published two books on the Berlin fashion and design movement under the title "Radical Chic". From 1993 to 1996 he was head of marketing and press at the Bar every reason, which was founded in 1992 . There he significantly supported the financing of the production of “Im Weisse Rössl” with a “cultural share” that he developed. In 1996 he moved to ZDF Enterprises to Mainz as head of the international license purchase and took over in 1998 in the ZDF head of the central editorial culture and science. After working at Endemol , Cologne and later at MME Me, Myself & Eye Entertainment AG, Hamburg, as head of the development department, he founded Wieduwilt Film & TV Production GmbH in Berlin in 2004. The company realizes u. a. Broadcasts for ZDF, RTL , Arte , 3sat , the ARD and its regional stations to continue the company's films, including produced "The White Horse Inn - you woe sing!" . The musical adaptation was made in coproduction with Regina Ziegler and Klaus Graf under the direction of Christian Theede and received the Golden Reel Award at the 13th Tiburon International Film Festival. The television film “Shakespeare's Last Round” , directed by Achim Bornhak , which was produced for the ZDF / arte to mark the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare's death , was awarded the “Best Cinematography” prize at the 4th Noida International Film Festival. For the 2017 federal election, Wieduwilt Film & TV Production produced the social factual format “Volksvertreter” for ZDFneo . The 7-part series was nominated for the German Television Award.

In 2005, Wieduwilt founded Casino Royale GmbH together with Robert Krause. Casino Royale is a branded entertainment , social media, consulting and license trading agency . After the death of Robert Krause and a phase of reorientation, the Swiss producer and format developer Nicolas Kreutter took over 50% of the company shares in 2017 and became co-managing director.
