Career

Stefanie Anthes studied at the Humboldt University in Berlin . She found her way to water sports back in 1993. She started during her active time for the Berlin TSC , to which she still belongs, now on the training staff. Your last trainer was Jan Kretzschmar . Anthes started both singles and synchronized doubles with Christin Steuer . At the German outdoor championships in 2007 she relegated Annett Gamm and her doubles partner to the places and surprisingly won the title of German champion. In 2007 she was second behind the wheel in the hall and second behind the wheel in synchronized jumping behind Nora Subschinski and Gamm. In 2008 she first came second behind Gamm from the tower in the hall and later behind her doubles partner on the 3-meter board outdoors. Anthes could with good performances for the 2008 Olympic Games of Beijing qualify. She stayed there without a medal, but a little later she won the freestyle trophy in Aachen with her jumping partner Josephine Möller .

In 2009 she took three second places at the German Championships (in the free synchronous tower, in the hall synchronous tower and single tower) and a fifth place (in the hall single tower). In the following years, the top rankings decreased, but she still won a title in synchronized jumping from the tower in 2012. Overall, she was three times first, ten times second, once fourth, twice fifth and three times sixth at German championships. There is also a fifth place at the European Champions Cup and a consistently good performance in the FINA Diving Grand Prix.
