Tom Belling jun. (* February 6, 1873 in Vienna ; † October 29, 1934 there ) was a clown .

Life

Tom Belling jun. was the son of the famous American clown Tom Belling (1843–1900), who created the figure of Stupid August and who had performed for a long time in Vienna at Circus Renz . Like his brothers Gobert and Clemens, he was active as a clown and small animal trainer. Belling jun. But not only took over the role of his father - this later fell to his wife - but also worked in the mask of the white clown , in which he achieved worldwide fame. His sisters Viktoria and Ella were also initially active in the circus as riders, tightrope walkers, jugglers and trapeze artists.

His wife Anna (1875–1961) and his mother Anna Catharine Belling, née Stafford (1844–1906), are also buried in his grave at the Evangelical Cemetery in Vienna-Simmering (III, 95).
