Stefanie Dahle

Stefanie Dahle (born June 18, 1981 in Schwerin , as Stefanie Maxi Julie Dahle) is a German author and illustrator for children's books. The figure Erdbeerinchen Erdbeerfee is one of her most famous works . She lives with her husband in the Lüneburg Heath.

biography

Stefanie Dahle was born on June 18, 1981 in Schwerin. Her mother is a self-employed painter. Her father worked as a self-employed mechanical engineer. The family was allowed to leave the GDR in 1983 for family reasons and Dahle grew up in Baden-Württemberg and Lower Saxony (near Bienenbüttel ). Even as a kindergarten child, she painted room walls and wallpaper. From 2001 Dahle studied illustration at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences in the design department. Since 2006 she has been working as a freelance illustrator and author for various children's and youth book publishers. Dahle is married and continues to use her maiden name as a stage name.
