Stefano Anzi (born May 21, 1949 in Bormio ) is an Italian entrepreneur and former ski racer . He only drove downhill races .

biography

Anzi started in World Cup races from 1969 . At the 1970 World Cup , he took seventh place on the Saslong in Val Gardena , but was subsequently disqualified due to a peat error. He got his first World Cup points on February 21, 1970 in Jackson Hole . The first podium came just under a year later, on February 18, 1971 in Sugarloaf . The following day he won a world cup race for the only time.

Anzi finished the downhill race at the 1972 Winter Olympics in 11th place. After finishing seventh at the 1974 World Cup in St. Moritz , he resigned. In 1976, Anzi founded the sportswear company Anzi-Besson in Turin with his teammate Giuliano Besson .
