Giuliano Besson (born January 1, 1950 in Sauze d'Oulx ) is an Italian entrepreneur and former ski racer . He mainly drove downhill runs , but also started in giant slaloms .

biography

Besson took part in the World Cup from 1971 . At the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo , he was eleventh in the downhill. He scored his first World Cup points on March 15, 1972 when he was seventh on the downhill run on the Saslong in Val Gardena . As a result, he was classified in the top ten several times. He achieved his best result on January 26, 1974 in Kitzbühel , where he finished second in the Hahnenkamm race at the same time as Stefano Anzi . At the 1974 World Cup in St. Moritz , he finished fifth.

At the end of the 1974/75 season, Besson resigned. In 1976 he and his teammate Stefano Anzi founded the sportswear company Anzi-Besson in Turin .
