Stefano Rulli

Stefano Rulli (born October 3, 1949 in Rome ) is an Italian screenwriter and documentary director.

Life

Rulli began his work in film as a critic for magazines such as Ombre Rosse , Quaderni Piacentini , Cinemasettanta and others. He wrote a monograph on Roman Polański . In 1975 he filmed with Marco Bellocchio , Silvano Agosti and Sandro Petraglia about three hours of No or All about the mentally and mentally ill, followed three years later by La macchina cinema (made by the same collective), which is dedicated to cinema and its myths .

Rulli has been working on scripts since 1976, but only intensively around a decade later. In this role, he took part in a number of groundbreaking films and television events, for which he has received several awards, four times with the David di Donatello . In 2004 he returned to documentary directing with Un silenzio particolare .

Rulli performs various professional tasks for the scriptwriters. Since October 2012 he has also been President of the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia .
