Stefany Hernández (born June 13, 1991 in Ciudad Guayana ) is a Venezuelan BMX rider.

Career

Stefany Hernández took part in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London . In the BMX race at the Lee Valley VeloPark , she was eliminated in the semifinals in fifth place and was listed in ninth place in the final ranking. After winning two silver medals at the Juegos Bolivarianos in 2013 , she was able to win another silver and a bronze medal at the 2014 South American Games in Santiago de Chile . In the same year she also won silver at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Veracruz, Mexico . The peak of her career so far followed, however, in the following year when she won the gold medal in the race discipline at the BMX World Championships in Zolder, Belgium . In her second Olympic participation in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 , she won the bronze medal in the Olympic race . During the graduation ceremony she was the flag bearer of Venezuela . Three years later, Hernández won the bronze medal at the Pan American Games in Lima .
