Steffen Gross (born January 2, 1967 ) is a German pool player . In 2014 he became German Senior Champion .

Career

After Gross finished ninth in the 14/1 at the 2010 German Senior Championship , he reached the final at the 10-Ball National Championship , but lost it 7-2 to Ralf Wack . In 2011 he won the bronze medal in 10-ball and reached the quarter-finals endlessly in 14/1. In 2012 he reached the quarter-finals in 8-Ball , where he lost 5-6 against Reiner Wirsbitzki . He also won bronze in 9-ball and silver in 10-ball. He was then nominated for the European Championship , where he had already achieved fifth place in the 8-ball in 2011. At the German championship in 2013 he won bronze in 8-ball after being knocked out endlessly in the quarterfinals in 14/1. In the 8-ball semifinals he lost against the eventual German champion Guido Gerber 6: 7. At the EM 2014 he reached the quarter-finals in 8-ball and 9-ball, but lost to the Austrian Thomas Radakovits and the Norwegian Vegar Kristiansen , who then became European champion. In the same year he won the 8-ball final at the German championship against Ralf Wack 5-7. In 14/1 he had lost in the semifinals against Thomas Damm , in 9-Ball, however, he was eliminated in the second round. In August 2015, he again made it into the 8-ball quarter-finals at the European Championship.

With the German senior national team, Gross became vice European champion in 2015.
