Steffen Klewar

Steffen Klewar (* 1982 in Darmstadt ) is a German theater director and actor.

Live and act

Klewar studied acting at the Berlin University of the Arts . While still a student, he founded the theater collective copy & waste together with the author and curator Jörg Albrecht in 2007 , in which he has worked as director and artistic director ever since. Productions were made at the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin , Hebbel am Ufer Berlin , Theater Oberhausen or Ringlokschuppen Ruhr and were shown at festivals such as steirischer herbst , Heidelberger Stückemarkt , and Favoriten Festival. In addition, he worked as a freelance director at city and state theaters (including Schauspiel Leipzig , Staatstheater Darmstadt ) and in projects in the independent scene. Since 2012 he has been working as a lecturer in acting at the Rostock University of Music and Theater . He lives in Berlin.
