Steffen Rosmeisl (born July 28, 1964 in Merseburg ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and was a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt from 2006 to 2016 .

Life

Steffen Rosmeisl attended the Polytechnic High School in Braunsbedra until 1980 . From 1980 to 1983 he then trained as an electrician with a high school diploma in Leuna . Rosmeisl then studied electrical engineering in Zittau between 1985 and 1990 . In 1995 he obtained the municipal diploma (VWA).

In 1990 and 1991 he was a task manager and development engineer at Addinol . Between 1991 and 1993 Rosmeisl worked as an IT engineer in the community of Braunsbedra. From 1994 to 2000 he headed the main and regulatory office there. Between 1995 and 2006 Rosmeisl was managing director of GW Geiseltaler Wohnungsgesellschaft mbH and from 2003 to 2006 managing director of Hasse Campingplatz und Strandbad GmbH.

Rosmeisl is married and has one child.

politics

Steffen Rosmeisl joined the CDU in 2002. In March 2006 he was elected to the Landtag of Saxony-Anhalt for the 5th electoral term through constituency 40 ( Merseburg ). There he was a member of the Eleventh Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry (Garbage) and the Committee on the Environment. In October 2009 he became chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in the Eleventh Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry.

Also in the 2011 election he won the direct mandate in the constituency of Merseburg and thus managed to return to the state parliament. He is a member of the Committee on Environment and the Committee on Science and Economy. In 2016, however, he lost to Willi Mittelstädt from the AfD in the fight for the direct mandate ; as his list position was also insufficient to move in, he left the state parliament.
