Map with all coordinates: The Steigentunnel is a single-tube road tunnel between Tømmerneset in Hamarøy municipality and Forsan in Steigen municipality in the Norwegian province of Nordland . The tunnel along Fylkesvei 835 is 8079 meters long. It replaced the ferry connections Skutvik / Bogøy and Røsvik / Nordfold. As with many Norwegian road tunnels, there are difficulties with fogged up vehicle windows ( dew point ) under certain weather conditions .
