Steinbach is a part of the municipality of Moorenweis in the Upper Bavarian district of Fürstenfeldbruck . The parish village is about four kilometers northwest of Moorenweis.
history
At the beginning of the 12th century, a noble family has been handed down, named after Steinbach and last appeared in 1258/62. In 1442 the court in Steinbach belonged to Jörg Aresinger from Türkenfeld .
In 1558 the ducal Bavarian rent clerk Caspar Perndorfer zu Pähl is named as the owner of the Hofmark Steinbach and Langwied . After him, Marx von Dürsch was the owner of the place. The Hofmark came from the Dürsch family at the beginning of the 19th century through marriage to the nobles von Krempelhuber . The Hofmark was dissolved in 1848 when Aloys von Arco-Stepperg was the owner.
On the occasion of the municipal reform in Bavaria , the formerly independent municipality of Steinbach was incorporated into Moorenweis on July 1, 1972.
