The Steinbecke is a 3.1 km long orographically left tributary of the Möhne in Brilon , Germany, in North Rhine-Westphalia .

geography

The brook rises northwest of Scharfenberg at an altitude of 451  m above sea level. NN . It flows primarily in northeastern directions. In doing so, it takes in numerous shorter streams flowing from the surrounding heights. After 3.1 km the stream flows out at 352  m above sea level. NN on the left in the Möhne. The estuary is about 2.4 km north of Scharfenberg and 3 km northwest of Wülfte.

The difference in height between the source and the mouth is about 99 meters. This results in a mean bed slope of 31.9 ‰. The approximately 2.49 km² catchment area is drained via the Möhne, Ruhr and Rhine to the North Sea .

The Steinbecke is located from the source to the Möhne in the Steinbecke nature reserve .
