The Stella Creek is a narrow and winding strait in the Wilhelm Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . In the group of the Argentine Islands , it runs from Thumb Rock to the southeastern end of Winter Island and separates the latter from the eastern Galíndez Island .
Participants in the British Graham Land Expedition (1934-1937) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer John Rymill carried out a survey in 1935 and named it after the motorboat used for it Stella Polaris .
