The Stellisee is a mountain lake near Zermatt in the Valais Alps . The lake - with a clear reflection of the Matterhorn - is known primarily as a photo motif.
The lake can be reached from Zermatt via numerous hiking trails or via an underground funicular to Sunnegga (3 minutes) and from there via a gondola (5 minutes) to Blauherd . It is only a few minutes' walk from the Blauherd mountain station to the 2537 m above sea level. M. lying Stellisee.

There are two rest stops near the Stellisees, the Blauherd restaurant (located directly at the Blauherd mountain station) and the Fluhalp mountain restaurant (at 2620 m above sea level, a little above the lake).
