Stena DrillMAX refers to a series of three drilling vessels built from 2007 to 2009 .

The ships flying the United Kingdom flag were built at the South Korean shipyard Samsung Heavy Industries in Geoje . They belong to different shipowners, but are all owned by the British company Stena Drilling Ltd. operated, which in the Scottish Aberdeen is established.

With the ability to drill up to 10,000  feet (about 3,050 m) deep water, the ships in the series are among the most powerful drilling ships in the world.

Incidents

The Stena Carron became known through an incident in September 2010, when Greenpeace activists boarded the ship about 200 km off the coast of the Shetland Islands to prevent a drilling.
