The Stendorfer See is located west of Kasseedorf , east of the Stendorf estate / municipality of Kasseedorf in the Ostholstein district in Schleswig-Holstein . It is located in Holstein Switzerland, surrounded by a hilly moraine landscape . The lake is owned by the Stendorf estate and is therefore one of the few private lakes in Schleswig-Holstein over 50 hectares.
The lake has an elongated shape with a maximum length of about 1500 m and a maximum width of about 700 m. It has a size of about 55 ha and a maximum depth of about 8 m, which it reaches near its northeastern bank. It is about 32.5 m above sea level. NN .
