Stephan Fritzsche (radio journalist)

Stephan Fritzsche (born February 9, 1963 in Kiel ) is program group leader society and education at NDR Info and radio presenter.

While studying history and politics, Fritzsche began to moderate at the North German Broadcasting Corporation in Kiel. He then worked at Radio Hamburg , where he was a founding member. In 1994 he switched to WDR and was one of the first presenters of the WDR youth wave Eins Live, which was launched in 1995 . From 1996 to 2003 Fritzsche was the final editor at NDR 2 . In 2003 he became deputy head of the Society and Education program group at NDR Info, and since February 2008 he has succeeded Marianne Scheuerl as its head.

He is co-author of the "sounding newsreel" on NDR Info, which presents news in the acoustic guise of the 1950s and 1960s, and has been moderating the satirical program "Intensive Care Unit" since 2009. At the same time, he has been working for WDR 2 since the late 1990s , where he moderated the "encore" until December 2014 . As part of this activity, the encore editorial team won the renowned Ernst Schneider Prize in the business and entertainment category in 2001 with the satirical program “Der WDR goes on the stock exchange”.
