Stephan Hösl (born June 26, 1966 in Reichenbach im Vogtland ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Profession and honorary positions

Stephan Hösl finished the school named after Friedrich Dittes in 1983 , a polytechnic high school in Reichenbach, after the 10th grade, then completed an apprenticeship as a mining technologist until 1986 and worked as a miner and demolition engineer between 1986 and 1993. At the same time he did his military service with the NVA in 1989/90 . In 1991 he began training in electrical engineering , which he completed in 1993. He then went to a local company as a telecommunications technician, where he became head of the telecommunications department in 2008.

In 2008 he joined the CDU and was chairman of the CDU city association Reichenbach, Mylau, Heinsdorfergrund from 2012 to 2014 and since 2017. He is also a co-opted member of the district executive committee of the CDU Vogtland .

Electoral offices

In the local elections in Saxony in 2009 , Hösl was elected as a city councilor in the city parliament of his native Reichenbach. He has been chairman of the CDU parliamentary group since the 2014 local elections . He has also been a member of the supervisory board of the Reichenbach housing association since 2014.

In the state elections in Saxony in 2014, Hösl won the direct mandate in the Vogtland 4 constituency with 36.5 percent of the direct votes cast . In the state elections in Saxony in 2019 , he was able to defend his direct mandate with 38.2 percent of the direct votes cast. In the Saxon state parliament he is active in the following committees and working groups:

  • Chairman of the Petitions Working Group
  • Member of the Committee for Schools and Education (Ak III)
  • Member of the Committee for Social Affairs and Social Cohesion (Ak VII)
  • Deputy member of the Committee for Energy, Climate Protection, Environment and Agriculture (Ak V)
  • Deputy member of the Budget and Finance Committee (AK II)
  • Deputy member of the Committee on Justice and Democracy, Europe and Equality (Ak I)
  • Deputy member of the investigation committee "Involvement of the state government in the 'qualified illegal' shortening of the AfD list"

The following tasks result from the activities of the committee work in the state parliament:

  • Board of Trustees of the "Saxon Disabled Self-Help Foundation - Otto-Perl"
  • Deputy member for the state advisory board for family issues

Private

Stephan Hösl has been married since 1990 and has three children.
