Stephan Küsters (born October 6, 1971 in Dinslaken ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
Küsters started playing football in the youth departments of SV Walsum and SuS 09 Dinslaken . The Krefeld club Bayer 05 Uerdingen noticed him through his achievements and signed him. After his youth, he was under contract with Bayer for another four years. There he was primarily used in the amateur team, but was also used by the professionals. Küsters played nine games in the Bundesliga and four games in the 2nd Bundesliga . Since he could not get more time, he moved to SC Jülich 1910 in 1994 , where he played four seasons in the Oberliga Nordrhein . From there he moved to FC Remscheid , which had just been promoted from the major league to the regional league. In its first season in 1996/97 , the league could be kept one point ahead. The following year Remscheid was 13th and Küsters moved to league rivals Prussia Münster . For the next eight years he laced his football boots for Münster in the regional league, he ended his career with relegation to the league.
