Stephan Kreiss

Stephan Kreiss (born 1962 in Munich ) is a German theater and film actor as well as a clown and comedian.

life and work

Stephan Kreiss trained in clown and comedy at the Atelier International de l'Acteur of the École Philippe Gaulier & Monika Pagneux in Paris from 1985 to 1989 and then trained as an actor in Vienna from 1990 to 1993 . He then worked from 1998 to 2001 with solo appearances as "The Legendary Funny" in Austria and since 1993 has also worked mainly in England, where he appeared with The Right Size and the Royal Shakespeare Company , among others . In 2000 he joined the Spymonkey quartet , which was internationally successful. The group has performed in the West End London , the Sydney Opera House and the Comedy Festival Just for Laughs in Montreal . Then Kreiss got an engagement for the Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas, where he appeared as a "porn clown" in the show Zumanity - Another Side of Cirque du Soleil .

In 1998 Kreiss played the lead role in the short film That 'all Johnny by Michael Pfeifenberger . This was followed by other TV series and films, most recently in 2013 the film adaptation of the play Jedermann by Hugo von Hofmannsthal at the Salzburg Festival in the Great Festival Hall by André Turnheim , in which he played the Thin Cousin.
