Stephan Moesle
Stephan Moesle (born December 8, 1874 in Hennigkofen ( Württemberg ), † 1951 ) was Undersecretary of State in the Reich Ministry of Finance and bank director during the Weimar Republic .
biography
Moesle entered the higher civil service of the Kingdom of Württemberg in 1901 and was promoted to bailiff there in 1905 . In 1907 he joined as a laborer in the Reich Insurance Office , where he obtained in 1909 the title of Imperial Governing Council before it temporarily, and from 1913 as a laborer in 1911 permanently Reich Treasury worked. As such, he was promoted to the Privy Councilor on January 19, 1915. After the establishment of the Reich Ministry of Finance on November 8, 1918, he became Ministerialdirektor there , before being appointed Undersecretary of State in July 1919 . He was a representative and important employee of the Reich Minister of Finance Matthias Erzberger in his major financial and tax reform of 1919/20 and later of Joseph Wirth . On December 31, 1920, Moesle was then retired.
Afterwards he was general secretary of the Prince Lichnowsky administration for some time . From 1925 to 1933 he was a member of the board of the Provincial Bank Oberschlesien and chairman of the board of the Oberschlesischen Sparkassenverband as well as from 1930 to 1933 authorized representative of the province of Oberschlesien at the Reichsrat .
After the seizure of power , he withdrew from politics.
