Stephan Peitz (born Junk , born August 19, 1966 in Trier , Germany ) is an internationally active German master of martial arts , Kyoshi , and holder of the 7th Dan of Shorinji ryu ( Karate , Kobudo , Tai Chi ).

He is the technical director of Butokukai Germany and a student of Grand Master Jean Chalamon , Hanshi, 10th Dan. Peitz is a graduate engineer, architect and preservationist.

Martial arts

On March 19, 1984 in Trier he began to take classes with William Marsh , Rolf Feistel, Josef Blum, in Karate and Kobudo of Shorinji Ryu and became a member of the Shorinj Ryu International Association under the direction of Richard Lee , 6th Dan. In 1987 he received the 1st Dan (Karate, Kobudo), Shorinj Ryu International, 1991 the 2nd Dan (Karate, Kobudo), Shorinj Ryu International and 1995 the 3rd Dan Shorinji ryu (Karate, Kobudo, Tai Chi), Butokukai Europe . 3rd Dan Karate, International Traditional Karate Federation (ITKF). 1995 began relationships with Grand Master Jean Chalamon and his teacher Richard Kim .

In 1996 he founded his first own dojo in Trier and the Shorinji Ryu Academy Germany was founded. In 2000 the dojo switched to the Karate, Kobudo, Tai Chi department at the PST Trier. In 2001 he obtained Menkyo Kaiden (Official Teaching License) of Shorinji Ryu from Grandmaster Richard Kim. Butokukai Germany was founded as a non-profit association.

In 2002 he obtained the 4th Dan Shorinji ryu (Karate, Kobudo, Tai Chi), Butokukai Europe. 4. Dan Karate, ITKF and in 2004 he was appointed Renshi and an honorary member of Zen Bei Butoku Kai in Toulouse. In 2005 he obtained the 5th Dan Shorinji ryu (Karate, Kobudo, Tai Chi), Butokukai Europe. In 2006 he was appointed general secretary of Kokusai Butokukai . Founding of the Dojo Karlsruhe and in 2010 the 6th Dan Shorinji ryu (Karate, Kobudo, Tai Chi), Kokusai Butokukai. Appointment as Kyoshi in Chambery, France. In 2012 the Dojo Bietigheim-Bissingen was founded. The opening of the dojo in Markgröningen-Unterriexingen followed at the beginning of 2014, followed by the opening of the Honbu Dojo in Ostfildern and the Dojo Kordel at the beginning of 2015. On July 1, 2015, Peitz received the 7th Dan Shorinji Ryu (Karate, Kobudo, Tai Chi) by Hanshi Jean Chalamon (10th Dan). Stephan Peitz is honorary lecturer at the Volkshochschule Ostfildern and Esslingen .
