Stephan J. Reuken (born July 5, 1985 in Gütersloh ) is a German politician ( AfD ).

Life

Reuken completed a degree in history and political science at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena . There he became a member of the Jenaische Burschenschaft Germania . He moved to the Ernst Moritz Arndt University of Greifswald , where he completed his master's degree.

Reuken joined the CDU during his school days . In 2014 he switched to the AfD, became a member of Junge Alternative and was elected deputy chairman of JA in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. In the state elections in September 2016 , in which he was elected to the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania via the state list , he worked as election campaign coordinator of the AfD Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . For the state election he ran as a direct candidate for the AfD in constituency 35 (Vorpommern-Greifswald IV) ; he received 29.3% of the first votes .
