Stephan Tumphart (born July 2, 1992 ) is a former Austrian amateur tennis player .

Career

Stephan Tumphart is an amateur tennis player who prevailed against 4216 competitors in the action game of your life in Kitzbühel in 2012 . The campaign was initiated by the local tournament, the Bet-at-home Cup Kitzbühel 2012 , and praised a place in the main field of the doubles at Philipp Kohlschreiber's side . It was completely surprising that Kohlschreiber and the physics student Tumphart, who normally plays tennis in a lower class Austrian league, won the opening match against Lukáš Rosol and Horacio Zeballos in the match tie-breaker . In the quarterfinals, however, the two lost against František Čermák and Julian Knowle 2: 6, 2: 6.

With 45 points from the quarter-finals, Tumphart was even in 734th place in the tennis world rankings after the tournament . He never played another professional tournament.
