Stephan Weickert

Stephan Weickert (born June 12, 1892 in Kirchheim , † March 16, 1952 in Eßlingen am Neckar ) was a German expellee politician.

After attending grammar school and business school, he worked in large-scale industry from 1912 as a dispatch manager, operations manager, general agent and organization manager. In 1936 he switched to Allianz insurance and worked as an organizer and insurance officer in Austria and the Sudetenland .

After fleeing to Bavaria , Weickert was again employed by the Allianz Group. He joined the new citizens Federation of Günter Goetzendorff and became City Council Landshut , voluntary refugee confidant and the Supervisory Board of the social welfare organization Bavaria . Due to the electoral alliance of the new citizens' union with the WAV , he ran in the elections for the first Bundestag. He was a member of the German Bundestag from the election in 1949 until his death. In 1950, Weickert helped found the GB / BHE party for expellees and formed the BHE / DG Bundestag group with Hans-Gerd Fröhlich , Hans Friedrich , Hans Tichi and Franz Ott . Weickert was chairman of the Bundestag committee on border issues until his death.
