Stephanie Klee

Stephanie Klee (born July 27, 1962 ) is a German sex worker and prostitution activist.

biography

The qualified social worker and administrative administrator decided to work as a prostitute. Her main focus today is sexual assistance for the elderly and disabled. Since the beginning of the 1970s she has been campaigning for the rights of prostitutes and, under the umbrella of Deutsche AIDS-Hilfe, has developed training and education workshops for prostitutes. In 2001 she successfully sued for her wages and achieved that a contract between prostitutes and their customers is no longer considered immoral. Together with Felicitas Schirow , she paved the way for sex work to gain commercial recognition. In 2002 she co-founded the Federal Association for Sexual Services , of which she was the spokesperson.

Klee lives and works in Berlin.
