Career

Laybutt began his career with Wollongong Wolves , where he played from 1995 to 1997. He then played for Brisbane Strikers , Bellmare Hiratsuka , Parramatta Power , Feyenoord Rotterdam , RBC Roosendaal , Lyn Oslo , Sydney Olympic , Excelsior Mouscron , KAA Gent , Newcastle United Jets and Dandaloo FC . In 2010 he ended his playing career.

National team

In 2000, Laybutt made his debut for the Australian national soccer team . He was named to the squad for the 2000 and 2004 Oceania Championship . He has played a total of 15 international matches for Australia.
