Stephen Yenser

Stephen Yenser (born 1941 in Wichita , Kansas ) is an American author and professor of English and literature .

Life

After finishing school in Kansas, Yenser enrolled at the University of Wisconsin – Madison , where he studied with James Merrill , among others . After completing his studies, he was employed as a lecturer at the University of California in Los Angeles . In addition to teaching, Yenser has written articles for Paris Review , Poetry , Southwest Review, and Yale Review . Together with JD McClatchy , he manages the literary estate of James Merrill (1926–1995). Yenser lives in Los Angeles.
