Mixture of stereoisomers
As a stereoisomer in which is organic chemistry , a mixture of substances referred to, which is composed of two or more stereoisomers composed. These can be configurational or conformational isomers .
Racemate
Racemic mixtures are a special form of stereoisomeric mixtures in which two mirror-inverted molecules ( enantiomers ) are present in a ratio of 1: 1.
Examples
Isopyrazam
The fungicide isopyrazam developed by Syngenta is available as a mixture of four stereoisomers, consisting of two mirror-image syn and two mirror-image anti isomers. The technical product is largely composed of the syn isomers and contains only a small percentage of the substance's anti isomers.
Decalin
Most of the Decalin merchandise consists of a mixture of trans and cis decalin. This product is used in the manufacture of shoe care products and as a solvent for fats , resins , waxes and varnishes .
