The Steyr 430 is a tractor from the Steyr Plus series from Steyr Daimler Puch . It was built from 1971 to 1976.
In 1971 the existing Plus series with the types Steyr 30 , Steyr 40 , Steyr 50 , Steyr 70 and Steyr 90 was converted to three-digit type designations for marketing reasons. At the same time, some changes were made, some of which also had an impact on performance. The new Steyr 430 replaced the Steyr 30. The numbers as type designations correspond to the respective performance. The 430 was thus the weakest motorized tractor in the series with 30 hp.
The water-cooled diesel engine of the type WD 210 with two cylinders and 1.991 l displacement has an output of around 22 kW (30 hp). The transmission has eight forward gears and six reverse gears. The maximum speed was given as 28 km / h.
In contrast to the more powerful models, the Steyr 430 is only available with rear-wheel drive. The cabin is also only available on request.
The body was designed by the French industrial designer Louis Lucien Lepoix .
Almost 6000 copies of the Steyr 30 and Steyr 430 were sold.
