The foundation pilgrimage chapel Maria Hilf Beselich is a non-profit , legal, church foundation under civil law .
Foundation purpose
The aim of the foundation is to promote religion and the Roman Catholic faith and to express it publicly.
This foundation goal is to be achieved in particular by supporting and promoting the
- Maintenance of the pilgrimage chapel Maria Hilf Beselich and the associated seven chapels as well as the prayer path,
- Care of the liturgical objects including the vestments and furnishings of the chapel,
- Maintenance and renewal of the organ in the chapel and
- Maintaining the pilgrimage traditions for this ensemble.
Use of funds
The foundation fulfills its tasks from the income from the basic assets and the foundation assets beyond that as well as from donations from third parties, unless these are expressly intended as endowments to expand the basic assets.
The inauguration of the organ in April 2014 marks the first high point in the foundation's young history. The necessary funds for this organ by organ builder Schmid , a cabinet and a song display worth over 40,000 euros were raised through generous donations, grants and financial income , without affecting the foundation's assets. In the following years, the sanitary facilities were designed to be weatherproof and the requirements for outdoor facilities were met. In the anniversary year of 2017, the exterior of the chapel was completely painted.

The Lady Chapel was founded in 1767 and is an important place of pilgrimage in the diocese Limburg . The chapel is located on the Beselicher head in the same community Beselich in Hesse Limburg-Weilburg .
The seven chapels to commemorate the pain of Mary on the prayer path in the forest from Obertiefenbach to the Beselich chapel belong to the ensemble of the pilgrimage chapel .
250th anniversary in September 2017
The 250th anniversary celebrations began with the solemn pontifical mass in front of the Beselich chapel. Pastor César Mawanzi greeted the large crowd of almost 1,000 believers. The Limburg Bishop Georg Bätzing was particularly welcomed, who celebrated Holy Mass in the company of concelebrants .
Organs of the foundation
The foundation's organs are the board of directors and the board of trustees . The members of the foundation bodies exercise their work on a voluntary basis.
Foundation Board
The Board of Directors consists of seven people, which the pastor of the parish and the members of the Board of Directors to belong to the Catholic parish of St. Giles Obertiefenbach. The board administers the foundation within the framework of these statutes and the requirements of the foundation supervision, which is exercised by the Limburg Episcopal Ordinariate.
Board of Trustees
The foundation board of trustees is formed by the members of the parish council of the Catholic parish of St. Egidius Obertiefenbach. The Board of Trustees decides on all fundamental questions that are part of the Foundation's area of responsibility and particularly monitors the use of the Foundation's funds in accordance with the Articles of Association.

In its short history, the foundation has fulfilled its purpose and aroused the joy of donations in many people. The long-term investment of the foundation's assets with relatively constant income will also help ensure that funds are permanently available for the more than 250-year-old chapel. Against this background, the foundation bodies see a good basis on which the foundation's purposes can largely be fulfilled.
