Stillness' Blade is an Italian death metal band from Lecce that was formed in 2002.
history
The band was founded in 2002 by guitarist and singer Max Schito. Due to various problems, a first demo was released under the name SoulBlighter pt.1 at the end of November 2004 . In May 2005, the bassist Gianpaolo Marsano and the drummer Antonio Donadeo joined Schito. In October and November of that year, the debut album The First Dark Chapter (Misanthropic Elevation) was recorded in Maglie . Until the album was released, a promo demo appeared under the name Soulbrighter , which contains three songs. In August, Donadeo was selected as the tour drummer for Vital Remains to tour the US and Europe . In 2007 Stillness' Blade took part in the Salento Summer Festival . In November of that year, the debut album was released on the Canadian label Obskure Sombre Records . The CD contains a bonus song and two video clips from February 2007. In 2010, the second album was released under the name Break of the Second Seal - The Eternal Damnation on Punishment 18 Records .

Philip from metal.de assigned the album The First Dark Chapter (Misanthropic Elevation) to Old School Death Metal, which got by without hardcore punk influences, keyboards or "fiddling". Instead, there are deep guitars, guttural vocals and a "change from fast and rumbling parts". The beginning of the album sounds like a mixture of old Sepultura and old Bolt Thrower . Overall, the music is not very creative, as the vocals are not strong enough and too monotonous and the riffs sound too unimaginative, although they are very similar from song to song. Thomas Nielsen from powerofmetal.dk found that the group on Break of the Second Seal - The Eternal Damnation plays brutal and mostly fast, if innovative, Death Metal. He especially noticed the drumming, which he described as superhuman.
