Stina Lykke Petersen (born February 9, 1986 ) is a Danish soccer goalkeeper who u. a. played for 1. FC Köln and for MSV Duisburg . From 2013 to 2018 she was number one in goal for the Danish national women's football team .
Career
society
Lykke Petersen started playing football in her hometown of Højby when she was five. In 2007 she attended Rollins College in Florida, where she played college soccer for the NCAA. After the 2013 European Championship , she was signed by Bundesliga club FCR 2001 Duisburg , whose team joined MSV Duisburg at the turn of the year 2013/14 . On April 26, 2014 Lykke Petersen announced her departure from MSV at the end of the season and then signed with the second division club 1. FC Köln .
National team
She made her debut for the national team at the Algarve Cup on March 4, 2011 against Sweden, which lost their team 1: 3. In 2005 she was appointed to the squad of the Danish national team for the 2005 European Women's Football Championship , but was not used. After a knee injury to goalkeeper Heidi Johansen , Stina Lykke Petersen became number one for the 2013 European Women's Football Championship in Sweden. In the opening game of the European Championship against hosts Sweden, she became a heroine when she was able to save two penalties ( Lotta Schelin and Kosovare Asllani ) and so helped her team to a 1-1 draw. She was also able to save a penalty in the penalty shoot-out of the quarter-final match against France , so that Denmark moved into the semi-final against Norway , which was also decided on penalties. There she could not save a penalty, while the Norwegian goalkeeper Ingrid Hjelmseth was twice successful, whereby Norway reached the final. Four years later at the European Championships in the Netherlands, she consolidated her reputation as a penalty killer. In the last group game in Denmark's 1-0 win against Norway, she saved a penalty and thus ensured Denmark advance to the quarter-finals. In the semifinals against Austria, she kept a kick in the game, which initially remained goalless - even after extra time. In the penalty shoot-out, she saved two more penalties, two went over the gate, so that Petersen did not let any of the four penalties against her in this game. Petersen was voted player of the game. Denmark reached a European Championship final for women for the first time. In June 2018 Lykke Petersen resigned from the national team immediately after an international match against Hungary.
