The Stinear Peninsula is a peninsula with consistently steep flanks on the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . In the area of the Larsemann Hills, it protrudes from the inland ice sheet into Prydz Bay .
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it in 1988 after the New Zealand geologist and polar explorer Bruce Stinear (1913-2003).
