The Stonehills Tarn is a lake in the Lake District , Cumbria , England .
The Stonehills Tarn is south of Bowness-on-Windermere and west of the Knipe Tarn . The lake was created artificially. The lake has an unnamed inflow on its north side and an unnamed outflow on its south side that joins the River Winster .
