Stadnica ( German  Wilhelmshof ) is a place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the rural community Banie Mazurskie (Benkheim) in the powiat Gołdapski ( Goldap district ).

Geographical location

Stadnica is located on the Goldap ( Polish Gołdapa ) in the northeast of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . The former district town of Angerburg ( Polish : Węgorzewo ) is 22 kilometers to the east, today's Powiat capital Gołdap (Goldap) 16 kilometers to the northwest.

history

In 1828 what was then Wilhelmshof was founded, and soon a large Vorwerk was built - a little more than a kilometer southwest of the Sperling estate ( Wróbel in Polish ). Until 1930 it belonged to the manor district of Sperling in the district of Angerburg in the administrative district of Gumbinnen in the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1930 Wilhelmshof came with Sperling to the rural community of Benkheim ( Polish: Banie Mazurskie ), whose district it was until 1945.

In 1945 all of southern East Prussia came to Poland as a result of the war . Wilhelmshof was given the Polish name “Stadnica” and is now assigned to the Schulzenamt ( Polish Sołectwo ) Wróbel (Sperling) . Stadnica is now part of the rural community of Banie Mazurskie , which belongs to the powiat Gołdapski in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .

church

Wilhelmshof was parish through the Sperling estate until 1945 in the Protestant parish of the church in Benkheim in the parish of Angerburg within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . The competent Catholic parish church was that in Goldap in the Diocese of Warmia . Today the situation is reversed: Stadnica is part of the newly established Catholic parish of Banie Mazurskie in the Gołdap deanery in the Diocese of Ełk (Lyck) of the Catholic Church in Poland . The Protestant church members belong to the church in Gołdap , a branch parish of Suwałki in the Masurian diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .

traffic

Stadnica is conveniently located on the Polish Voivodeship Road 650 (former German Reichsstraße 136 ), which connects the three districts of Kętrzyn , Węgorzewo and Gołdap . Until 1945, Benkheim was the next station on the Angerburg – Goldap line that is no longer in operation.
