The Gołdapa (German Goldap , Prussian galdape : "River in the Mulde") is an 89 km long river in northeast Poland , in the former area of East Prussia . It rises on the Seesker Höhe south of the city of Gołdap , then flows through the Rominter Heide before reaching the city of Gołdap named after it. North of the village of Budry , the Gołdapa flows into the Angrapa ( Angerapp ), which later merges into the Pregel .
The upper course is now called "Jarka" (until 1945: Jarke ), only after flowing through the Gołdap the river is officially called "Gołdapa" ( Goldap ).
