Borek is a settlement in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , which belongs to the rural municipality of Banie Mazurskie (Benkheim) in the powiat Gołdapski ( Goldap district ).
Borek is located in the northeast of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, 16 kilometers southwest of the district town of Gołdap (Goldap) . The settlement is incorporated with Nowiny (Naujehnen , 1938–1945 Neuengrund) in the Schulzenamt ( Polish Sołectwo ) Kierzki (Kerschken) and thus belongs to the association of the rural community Banie Mazurskie in the powiat Gołdapski , before 1998 the Suwałki Voivodeship , since then the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship associated.
Religions
Ecclesiastically, Borek is on the Catholic side of the Banie Mazurskie Church in the Diocese of Ełk (Lyck) of the Roman Catholic Church in Poland . On the evangelical side , it belongs to the church in Gołdap within the parish of Suwałki in the Masurian diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .
