On September 30, 1928, the village lost its independence and was incorporated into the neighboring village of Wittgirren (1938 to 1945 Wittbach, Polish Widgiry ). On June 3 (officially confirmed on July 16) 1938, Radtkehmen was renamed “Wittrade” for political and ideological reasons to avoid foreign-sounding place names.

Together with all of southern East Prussia , the small village came to Poland in 1945 as a result of the war . Since then it has borne the Polish name form "Radkiejmy".
