Zapały is a place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the rural community Banie Mazurskie ( German  Benkheim ) in the powiat Gołdapski ( Goldap district ).

geography

Zapały is located in the northeast of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , 16 kilometers southwest of the district town of Gołdap (Goldap) . The village can be reached from Surminy (Surminnen) on the Polish voivodeship road DW 650 (former German Reichsstraße 136 ) via Sapałówka (Sapallen , 1938 to 1945 Ostau (Ostpr.)) .

history

The small village emerged after 1945. A previous settlement and a German name cannot be made out. Zapały is now part of the rural community Banie Mazurskie in the powiat Gołdapski , before 1998 the Suwałki Voivodeship , since then part of the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .
