Storm Catcher is a 1999 American action film directed by Anthony Hickox and starring Swedish actor Dolph Lundgren as Air Force pilot Jack Halloway.
action
The respected Air Force pilot Jack Halloway is suspected of stealing the prototype of the newly developed high-tech bomber "Storm Catcher". The evidence against him is overwhelming and he clearly appears guilty. The charge is high treason, but Halloway escapes when transferred to prison. He knows that only he can prove his innocence and expose the real perpetrators. On his escape, only his longtime friend and colleague Lieutenant Sparks is at his side.
Together they find out that the perpetrators can be found in the highest circles of the US military and have only one goal: to wage war in their own country. Halloway is now not only fighting desperately for his rehabilitation, but also against a seemingly overwhelming opponent who wants to cover the United States with terror. In a murderous showdown, Halloway can stop his adversaries and prevent a war on his own soil.
Reviews
"An abstruse story that tells its simple plot with numerous hardships, does not shy away from clichés and cannot create tension due to the sometimes idiotic fighting scenes."
“18 days of shooting, no money for stunts, Dolph Lundgren as the star. It goes without saying that nothing could come of this film. Especially since the script is hair-raising. Conclusion: Dolphie has it good - he doesn't remember anything. "
