Headquarters of the Holy Fashion Group in Kreuzlingen

Holy Fashion Group ( spelling : HOLY FASHION GROUP ) is a self-name of the Swiss fashion company Strellson AG based in Kreuzlingen TG . The company designs and markets men's and women's clothing under the brands strellson , JOOP! and windsor .

history

Windsor.

In 1889 the merchants Leo Roos and Isidor Kahn founded the men's clothing factory Roos & Kahn in Bielefeld . The company was taken over in 1960 by the managing partner Günter Klasing and renamed Windsor Kleidwerk G. Klasing KG . In 1983, Windsor women’s and men’s clothing GmbH was taken over by UJ Textil Handels GmbH , which belonged to the former Hugo Boss owners, the brothers Jochen and Uwe Holy .

Strellson AG

In 1984 the Holy Brothers acquired the Kreuzlinger coat factory Friedrich Straehl & CO, which was founded in 1945 . and converted it into Strellson AG , which from then on appeared under the Strellson brand . From 1998, Strellson AG designed and produced men's fashion for the Tommy Hilfiger brand (product line “Taylored Apparel”) for the European market as a licensee . The company also took over a third of JOOP! GmbH ; the remaining shares went to Egana Goldpfeil and the cosmetics group Coty Lancaster .

"Holy Fashion Group"

After business at Windsor had developed worse than expected, the Holy brothers restructured their holdings. The shares in Windsor GmbH were transferred to Strellson AG in 2004, which became the holding company for all Holy textile activities ("Holy Group"). The management of the Windsor brand was bundled together with the other brands at the Strellson location in Kreuzlingen. Since 2005 responsibility for all men's fashion activities has been in Kreuzlingen; Since then, Windsor GmbH in Bielefeld has only designed and marketed women's outerwear from the Windsor and Joop brands. The newly formed Strellson Group has been operating under the name Holy Fashion Group since 2005 .

In 2008 Strellson AG also took over the remaining Joop shares. The Tommy Hilfiger Corporation bought back its license at the end of 2011 and has been running the clothing line independently since 2013. In 2014, the previous CEO Reiner Pichler was replaced by Marcel Braun. In 2015 the women's clothing brands were relocated to Kreuzlingen.

Different information about the company

Strellson AG alias Holy Fashion Group specifies its founding date as 1984, different from the founding date of the Friedrich Straehl & CO. Coat factory, from which it emerged.

“Holy Fashion Group” is sometimes portrayed in the media as the parent company of Strellson AG or as a company that has taken over the Strellson brand. However, there is no “Holy Fashion Group” or “HOLY FASHION GROUP” in the Swiss commercial register (as of October 2016). Sometimes “Holy Fashion Group” is also referred to as an umbrella brand , although “Holy Fashion Group” or “HOLY FASHION GROUP” is a registered trademark neither in Switzerland nor in Europe and the Strellson, Windsor and Joop brands are independent of the name "Holy Fashion Group" is.
