Strobenried is a district of the Upper Bavarian municipality of Gerolsbach .

history

Strobenried appears in the documents between 1130 and 1140 as "Strubenried" and once also as "Strubinen". The Catholic parish church of St. Leonhard in Strobenried dates back to 1495. The municipality of Strobenried, founded in 1818 with the Bavarian municipal edict, belonged to the Schrobenhausen district until June 30, 1972 and was included in the Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm district from July 1, 1972 . It lost its independence on January 1, 1978 and was incorporated into the Gerolsbach community.
