location

It is located west of Meisdorf Castle on the west side of Allee at the foot of the Klusberg . The Selke runs a little further south . The Selketalstieg leads directly along the Strulle .

Design and history

The strulle consists of a semicircular stone setting in the middle of which a small spring flows from a pipe. The source was drawn up in 1937 on the occasion of a golden wedding in the von Asseburg family . An inscription stone is set in the middle above the spring.

It bears the inscription:

May 9th 1937
the day of the golden wedding
Friedrich Graf vd
Asseburg Falkenstein

Margarethe Countess
v. d. Asseburg Falkenstein
born v. Massow

The Strulle is fed by a fault source and goes back to historical hard coal mining . The water given off by the Strulle carries significantly more minerals than is usual with springs from the basement. The solution concentrations are lower in relation to Zechstein-borne sources. 0.7 grams per liter of solids are dissolved in the water. Most of it is calcium and hydrogen carbonate . The water temperature is 12.6 ° C. The pH value is 8.0, the conductance 913 µS / cm. The spring gives about four liters of water per minute.

In 2007 a renovation of the Strulle was carried out by the association Junge Forum Stadt Falkenstein and other private individuals. The wall was re-grouted and finishing stones were set, stone slab and a stainless steel pipe were newly inserted. The grating above the table was created by master blacksmith Michael Unterschütz from Pansfelde and given a small dragon . The reopening took place on November 30, 2007.

In the local register of monuments , the tunnel is listed as a monument under registration number 094 30615 .
