The Strynzelbach begins from the Herrenmühlengraben near Herrenmühle, a drainage ditch, about 50 meters before its confluence with the Buckau. It runs east of Bücknitz for about one and a half kilometers parallel to Buckau. The course is largely developed like a trench. The catchment area is approximately 0.68 square kilometers. To the east of Bücknitz, the Strynzelbach flows into the Buckau. There are several weirs in the course of the stream . It lies entirely in the FFH area Buckau and tributaries.
